Portable, Reliable Water for Disaster Relief and Emergency Response

Product: SolarRO BW12 container
Production capacity: 0,5 m³ per hour
Power requirement: 0,75 kW

Challenge
A European industrial customer needed a mobile, self-reliant water purification system to support emergency response in areas impacted by natural and climate-related disasters. The solution had to be rapidly deployable, durable, and capable of producing safe drinking water from variable raw water sources. Events such as wildfires, floods, droughts, earthquakes, and hurricanes often disrupt water infrastructure and contaminate available supplies — making reliable, off-grid water access critical during crisis response.

Solution
A SolarRO BW12 containerized system was selected, offering a clean water production capacity of 0.5 m³/h with a low power requirement of 0.75 kW. Fully pre-installed in a compact container, the unit includes all components needed for autonomous operation — ready to purify water from any fresh or brackish source without complex setup.

Impact
The customer gained a flexible, plug-and-play water solution for deployment in crisis zones. The unit enhances their ability to respond to emergencies quickly and reliably, supporting climate adaptation and disaster relief efforts with clean water access in remote and high-stress environments.

Certified Quality and Compliance

The system is built in compliance with EU machinery and safety directives and follows WHO Guidelines for Drinking Water Quality. Components are selected based on NSF/ANSI certification and ISO 9001:2015 quality standards. The containerized unit meets the CE marking requirements for safe, high-quality equipment used in European and international markets.
