SolarRO SW 18

Solar-Powered Seawater Reverse Osmosis System

The SolarRO SW 18 provides clean, safe water from seawater and high-salinity water sources using renewable solar energy.

Equipped with the patented adaptive ANVS®* mechanical valve. The system automatically balances reverse-osmosis pressure when sunlight or voltage fluctuates — ensuring continuous operation even under direct solar or weak unstable grid power.

Operate the unit on solar only, grid only, or blending both for hybrid operation. By maximizing solar input, it reduces energy costs and carbon emissions — delivering sustainable, low-cost water wherever it’s needed.

Fast to Deploy. Easy to Operate.
The pre-assembled plug-and-play system guarantees fast installation with minimal commissioning effort. No on-site adjustments or continuous operator presence needed. With remote monitoring, self-regulating pressure, and low maintenance needs, the system delivers predictable and efficient performance, with fewer service visits.

Built to Last.
High-quality, corrosion-resistant components ensure long life in remote, off-grid, and demanding environments. Industry-standard components allow easy servicing and global availability of consumables and spare parts. The robust design maximizes reliability and extends the system’s operational life.

Trusted, Clean, Safe Water.
Treats seawater or high salinity borehole water. Removes sediments, salts, bacteria, and viruses, producing drinking-quality water that meets global safety standards.

Technical Specifications

Performance

Daily capacity (solar day)6.4 m³ (1,700 gal) / 8 hours
Feed water flow rate2.2 m³/h (9.7 GPM)
Brine flow rate *1.4 m³/h (6.2 GPM)
Recovery rate *37 %
Minimum salt rejection 99.5 %
System pressure 50 – 57 bar / 725 – 827 psi
Operating temperature range5 – 45 °C / 41 – 113 °F
Energy recovery *– (standard no ERD)
Specific energy *5.8 kWh/m³ / 22 kWh/1,000 gal

* Tested with 36,000 ppm TDS at 25 °C (77 °F) with feed pump.
Electrical power
Solar PV input power **8.5 kWp (minimum), 600 – 800 VDC
AC input power380 – 480 VAC / 50 – 60 Hz / 3x16A breaker
Energy consumption4.7 kWh
** Exact PV power is always site-specific and depends on factors such as location, weather, equipment level and additional connected power sources.
Pipe connections
Feed water inlet1″ / DN25
Product water outlet3/4″ / DN20
Brine outlet3/4″ / DN20
Operating Conditions
Raw water sourceSeawater / high salinity borehole
Raw water TDS range *20,000 – 40,000 ppm
Raw water temperature range5 – 45 °C
Air temperature range0 – 45 °C
Raw water feed pressure range1 – 5 bar
* Raw water analysis is required to define appropriate pre-treatment. RO, pre- and post-treatment systems can be customized to suit your application. Feed salinity exceeding 40,000 ppm requires upgraded motor and components rated for higher salinity and pressure.
